New Hope

This program serves disabled orphans, often the neediest of all. In partnership with Child Development International and other organizations, MIR helps in many ways.

Orphanages for disabled children typically have several hundred children each with some housing as many as 600 children. These children rarely receive any individual attention. Child Development International and MIR advocate for these children and believe they possess great value and great potential.

We provide humanitarian aid including food, clothing, medical supplies, diapers, books and other educational materials, and developmental toys and equipment on an ongoing basis. Neurodevelopmental services for these children and training for the orphanage staff are also available. Short-term teams and full-time staff help in many ways all through the year. We also send disabled orphans overseas for surgeries and other medical care.

The need in these orphanages is great and there is much work to be done.
